I want to lay a solid oak floor on top of the old original floorboards. They will run in the same direction. Is there any problem with this? Thanks stokedan 1. I took the radiator off. I was concerned that water might gush out of the thermostatic valve but it was ok and I have now put a cap on the valve.

I want to remove a radiator but I'm not sure how to close the thermostatic valve off. I've had a look inside but can't find anything to turn to shut it off. I am fitting an overflow fiiler to a bath. There is only one 1/2 inch inlet. I assume I have to mix the hot and cold feed through a 15mm T joint before I send it to the filler. Fitting of an overflow filler

I have just bought a Samuel Heath Xenon overflow filler for my bath, along with two valves. The filler has only one inlet on it. I was expecting two. One for the cold and one for the hot. Do I need some kind of mixer valve that mixes the water before it is connected to the filler?
