I'm going to answer my own question.I tried a mix of ammonia, water and washing up liquid and it worked a treat.The floor has come up really great it has taken off the sealer and left a lovely clean bright stone floor ready to be sealed.

Stripping old sealer

Hi What would be the best product to strip the sandstone flooring in our kitchen.It appears to have been sealed but is dark and I want to strip back and reseal.As its indoors I know it will be a bit of a task .Would ammonia work,as I have some and in some areas in the hall the dog has managed to pee...

Hi I have inhereted a stone floor in my house that we bought. The kitchen ,hall,and dining room is what appears to be sandstone that has been sealed and is very dark and I would like to strip it and reseal. Would an ammonia solution work? Shower tray replacement!!

Can any one advice i have at the moment a downstairs shower on a concrete floor that has a pump fitted to the waste outlet and discharges into a 15mm pipe the waste plug is the same as any other shower.
My question is can i change the shower tray still using the waste system??

i am considering covering a rough plastered wall in my house with plasterboard using the dot and dab method and them skimming over with finish,good idea or not??

Stained cieling

Can any one suggest a cure for a continued black mould stain on my shower room ceiling,i have tried all the oil paints and stain blocks and even installed a velux window but once i have painted it out after 2 weeks its back,even with loads of ventilation?
