You could drill it out - that's cheapest way. Alternatively you could use "easy-outs" which are tapered and designed to bite into the screw as you turn it anti-clockwise. :D

Hello mate, I know the elephant noise you're talking about. It's most probably the inlet valve, but the best way to check it to open and close the valve as the noise is occuring. You should find that each 1/4 turn changes the noise. New valve required buddy!
