Many thanks for this. Yes, I think you're right. I've had some conversation with a builder since posting, and he reckons I can route it around the proposed extension, or across it's path, but certainly along the lines you suggest. An engineer's opinion has also been suggested as we live in very rock...

Laying strip foundation across wastewater drainage

Hello to all. I'd appreciate any advice regarding this query. I have planning permission for a large single storey room (utility room) to the rear of our house. My question is this: how do I lay strip foundations across the path of an existing wastewater drainage system (which comes from a bathroom)...
