planting a new tree

hello everyone
i am having to dig up a tree[white beam] in my front garden as it's roots are coming not only through the lawn but mine and my neighbours tarmaced drive's.
I want to replace it with another tree but one with non introusive root's!!
any suggestion's I was thinking a rowan tree!!

sticking bi fold shower screen

i have just had a bifold shower screen fitted and it has started to stick when closing or opening the screen, looking at the track at the bottom of the enclosure i can see a white powdery substance[perhaps calcium!!]. after cleaning it with a toothbrush it becomes ok but doe's anyone know why it get...

sticking bi fold shower screen

I have a new bifold shower screen, and the problem is after showering and cleaning and screen etc after awhile a build up of small white particles[which i believe could be calcium] appears on the inside of bottom runner which in turn makes the opening and shutting of the screen to be stiffer and not...

I will go back to focus and ask as you mentioned, the only thing is, will they know what fennel look's like!!.
The idea of painting just the one wall is a good one.

discontinued interior paint

I need to touch up a small area on my landing with a paint called fennel matt emulsion from focus. I don't want to do the whole area as it is the hall,stairs and landing and everywhere apart from this small area is ok. Any tips!! I've tried numerous tester pots in a similar green but no joy.
