Coving - paper layer damp

The painting on my coving was flaking off, I scraped it off then found the paper layer underneath was damp. I've taken this paper layer off too (perhaps I shouldn't have :? ) so now I'm back to the plaster layer on the coving. I've got to build it back up but how should I do this so it blends back i...

I had a similar problem, basically the old slate roof lay between the rafters covered in 2 inches of dust. A vacuum will not do it as you found out.An alternative is an industrial dust extracter, you can hire one for the day.Unfortunately this didn't work for me cos it didn't fit through the loft ha...

Hi again, Will the flexible filler hold the new light in place? Basically what I have done is cut out a piece of chipboard the size of the hole,with a hole in the middle for th downlight. The chipboard needs to fix to the edge of the current hole in the ceiling which has a flakey and crumbly surface...

Filling Hole in ceiling

Hi There,

I am fitting new downlights in the ceiling.

They are of a smaller diameter then the previous ones, hence there is a gap.

How do I fill this gap?
