Noise Insulation

We're having our kitchen refurbished and want to take this opportunity to improve Noise Insulation on the party wall, to cut out noise from the neighbours.

Looking for suggestions of a cost-effective solution (special plasterboard?)

Thanks!

Pario

We're planning to lay a new patio, and I'd like to ask what the general opinion is on the best material. Our builder has recommended Imitation York Stome, but elsewhere I've read advice to stear clear of this.

Any opinions?

Thanks!

Rubber Flloring in Kitchen

What are people's opinions on rubber flooring for kitchens?

Was discarding tile option because of breakability and going for lino, but now the idea of rubber has been thrown into the mix.

Any views on pros & cons most welcome!

Best Kitchen Flooring?

We are knocking down a dividing wall in the kitchen to make a kitchen-diner. Currently, there is a concrete flooring in one half, and wood in the other. - I'm considering filling the side where there is currently wood with concrete, to get an even base. Is that advisable? or might there be damp-proo...
