erm... i think you're crazy, only joking but there is nothing on the market i know of that either wont discolour or leave brush or roller marks on your wallpaper.

if you have any of the original paint left give a piece of plain white paper a couple of coats and take it to a "Crown Decorating Centre" there should be one near you and ask them to match it, they can match virtualy any colour and will give you a test pot to try out.

rake the old filler out and re-fill, i would'nt use flexible filler as this will almost certainly sink. use a lining paper first hanging horizontaly [ 1500 grade would be ideal] and then your wallper on top. hope this is of help.

hi liffey, if you are using timber as opposed to mdf, buy some "knotting", this comes in a small bottle either from a diy store or your local paint supplier, dab this on all knots in your wood as this will stop the resin "leaking" which will give you brown marks on your finished ...
