fitting back door frame

Hi , I am converting a garage and in the process I have to fit a back door and frame. The outside skin ( bricks ) not enough height between ground level and wall plate to fit lintel and door frame. Can I fit the door and frame to the new inner skin Stud wall?

Hi I'm converting a garage into living space -- and need to fit a ceiling. What is the thinest battens that can be used to support ceiling board 9,5mm.
