Overboarding With Fireline Board on a Curved Surface

I need to overboard an existing partition with Fireline board, the snag being it is on a convex surface being the inside wall of a curved staircase. Any advice would be welcome.

I have a 1939 brick built house that is painted in what looks like very thick white paint. I have a copy of the original building plans, which state the brick is coated with slurry.
