Hi, We want to put an en-suite into a first-floor bedroom. We wanted to have a window but advised to go for Velux. I am worried that Velux is sited above the shower tray - won't this be a problem with steam/water etc?? Also, don't you have to have an extractor fan anyway for an en-suite nowadays?? G...

very damp concrete at base of chimney

Hope you can help me. I've looked at previous posts but they don't cover my particualr problem - I think. 1930's house. Solid floor and walls. Took out old fireplace down to floor level and on breaking out old cement base found very damp concrete full of large stones directly underneath the chimney....
