Adding a Motion Sensor tohome lights

Can anyone advise if it is possible to add a motion sensor to my home interior lights. Would it just be a case of wiring the sensor to the main light sitch?

Thanks

RCD's

Can I have as many switches as I like on my RCD? For example, can I have one for each plug socket, as opposed for one for all plug sockets? Also, if this is possible, would it take much work in rewiring?
