I would like to take out a 7kw shower and replace with a 9.5 kw shower. the cable looks like 6mm, although the installation is 10 years old+. the shower is approx 10m away from the fuse board - could I run this with a 40 amp mcb - ? ( currently 30amp) - also there is no rcd in place - is this ok - w...

i have been asked to change an old 7kw shower but rather concerned as the fuse board is old rewirable fuse type with only 30 amp fuses in. shower is 10 meters from board and cable looks like 6mm - could i insert 40amp mcb and run a 9.5kw shower and should I insist on a rcb to be fitted before any wo...

is there a specific type of trap that will prevent bathwater finding its way back along the shower waste or is the seal created by the water in the shower trap sufficient. the trap that was there was a low level bath trap with anti-vac - could i replace with a basic bottle trap or with the pressure ...

chasing in copper pipes

can you tell me the easiest way to chase pipes into walls and do the pipes need to be protected once in. also the sink and bath wastes are boxed currently which is rather unsightly - is it acceptable to chase them into the wall before retiling cheers
