induction hob wiring???

Can anyone please help i have just brought a new induction hob but it has 5 wires coming from it.Black and grey.Brown and blue which are joined together and the earth any ideas how to intstall and why does
it have 5 wires instead of 3???? :(

falling plaster

sounds as though he didnt pva the ceiling just before he plastered it,if it wasnt pva d it will not stick to a ceiling properly

When plastering walls make sure any loose material is off. If its hard to come off leave it as it wont make any difference once plastered,clear the room completly including carpet if its nice,and pva walls with 1part pva and 1part water,the plasterer will probalbly pva again but this only takes 10 m...

No,dont do it???

Please dont waste your time trying to dot and dab ceiling,ethier screw new plaster board over existing board making sure you locate joists and screw onto them,or rip old ceiling down and screw new half inch plasterboard on this is a very messy job.Good luck

You can buy margin trowels at B and q or ebay which are thin trowels for this type of problem.if you want a good finish angle bead the edge of the wall and skim both sides of angle bead,or just try to feather the multi finsh into the existing wall...

messy job but worth it....

I would advise taking down the old lath and plaster ceiling and replacing with half inch plasterboard and then tape over joints and pva ceiling and then use multi finish to finish.This is a fairly big job but more messy than skilled so okay for diyer,just remember to turn off electric when pulling d...

aquaboard

You can use aquaboard from wicks which is a water proof plasterboard for wet areas ie; bathrooms.If you want a warmer room batten the walls witht 2inch square wood and put insulation behind the aquaboard.If the room is still not warm enough i suggest using under floor heating which is a lot less has...
