sort of resolved

Never mind ... after much jiggling and spraying of wd40 I've managed to get the stupid lock to work enough to at least close and lock the door. Its still extremely stiff, but rather than tinker I think I'll leave it closed until I can get a complete replacement door ordered. Sorry to bother you. Che...

Aluminium Sliding patio door lock jammed.

Aluminium Sliding patio door lock jammed. Hi Can anyone help with how to free up ( or even to replace if needed ) a lock in a sliding aluminium patio door? This is an old Everest door and has a key lockable lever that latches the door and throws extra bolts top and bottom. Over time the lever has be...

Is it ok to use that flexible copper tube, not the braided type but the short corrugated pure copper lengths, in a radiator system? Is it reliable? I've had conflicting reports from people in the plumbing shop. ...

Fitting flexible pipes to radiator valves

Hi, Is it possible to get a flexible pipe that will fit a radiator valve? I can only find a 1/2" tap connector one, but am not sure if that is suitable as there is no olive. Is the only other solution to fit a radiator tail valve to the rad valve and then use a standard 15mm compression flexibl...
