Hi,
I would definetely reccomend doing the painting after your floor had been laid as laying the floor can leave quite a few scrapes and tears on your paint work

Hi,
Chances are,you new gloss was not totally dry, they are all touch dry in 24 hours but dont properly harden up for at least a week.
I would lightly rub down the scratched areas and re coat.

Hi Joe,
No you dont have to sand the entire wall dowm so long as the last paint was an emulsion, first coat everything with your new paint then fill all holes and lightly sand, then re coat again,so long as it is not a dark paint over a light paint it may need more coats, good luck.

It sounds rather difficult but it is relatively easy,no matter how well tongue and groove is filled it will eventually start to show gaps but then again so does all wood.

Hi,
Vinyl papers are usually very easy to strip?
The best way to strip them is to just peel the initial surface of which comes of very easily, you will then be left with what looks like a lining paper, all you do then is cover this with warm water and some fairy liquid .

To be honest, stripping emulsion paint can be a nightmare especially if it has been on a softwood.
I would suggest you try getting the gate dipped as this will be the only sure way of getting rid of all the paint.

Hi,
The only way to get this horrible stuff of is by using a blow torch, hold the torch about a foot away from the brown stuff! and then take it of before it burns your wood, leave to dry out for about 1 minute then scrape and it will just flake of easily.
