Many thanks for the information. I took the valve out and stripped it. Full of silt, so I soaked it in de-scaler, re-assembled, re-filled, and no more problems.

If you ever need any electrical advice let me know

Morning The condensor is a sealed item. Also, the gas in a fridge can be problematic. You'll probably find that a new fridge is cheaper than a replacement condensor. As you said moving it from side to side made it quiet for a while the last thing you could try would be to empty the fridge. Unplug it...

Halstead Quattro Gold Comination Boiler Problem

Hello I posted this in the appliances around the home section, but thought I might get more response in the plumbing section. The bloe off pipe on the boiler has started dripping, thus the pressure in the boiler drops to a point where the boiler will not fire. Once I top up the boiler using the fill...

Like you say, the enamel is there to stop heat an moisture damage. I would not let him even try to repair it. The oven is new, his son wrecked it, so you want a new one. Enamel is very difficult to repair, and could not be done in your kitchen.

Sounds more like the condensor is playing up. Have you tried rocking the fridge from side to side, this sometimes works. If not then you will probably see the temperatures start to rise in the fridge as the condensor is packing up. Might be a good idea to put a thermometer in the fridge to see whats...

Halstead Quattro Gold Comination Boiler Problem

For a few days now the blow off pipe of the boiler has been dripping, thus the pressure is dropping in the boiler.

The boiler works fine until the pressure drops to zero then I have to top it back up again.

Anyone know about these?

Many thanks

Some RCDs need to be reset. Try switching it to the off position and then back on. If this doesn't work, or, you feel a resistance but it won't stay on, un plug everything in your home. If the RCD will then reset then you know you hve a faulty appliance. Then plug each appliance back in. When the RC...
