Two things spring to mind, these are "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is" and "you get what you pay for". Many of these adverts use the low cost in large type to hook you in, watch out for the hidden extras, by the time you add these on you may as well have gone to a...

That is the boiler by-pass and not the system by-pass, I would suggest that you fit an external automatic by-pass, approx £25. This should be fitted between the boiler flow & return within approx 1m of the boiler

but andf380, in the speedfit hand book they give a minimum distance there pipe can be fitted from a boiler and that distance differs depending if it's a gas or oil fired appliance. Plastic pipe should not be used at all for soild fuel appliances.

In my opinion the only way these radiators could work is if they where on a gravity loop, for this to work for every 12" of horizontal run, the pipe work would have to rise by 1", therefor if the first radiator was 3' away from the boiler the pipe work would have to rise 3" from the h...

Is your cylinder thermostat working as the noise could be down to the fact that the water in the cylinder is boiling. When you run a tap, this introduces cold water in to the cylinder which stops the boiling.

For sure this has to be an electrical wiring problem, could be that there is a backfeed to the boiler some how. Is there a wiring centre? This would look like a junction box where all the wires would feed back to. If so look at the Honeywell web site Y plan wiring and make sure that what you have ma...

There is only one way without diging up your water main and replacing it with a larger service and that is some form of pump, pumping direct from the main water supply is against water board regs so you have to introduce a break tank of a suitable size to suit the house and then pump from this. Grun...

Yes you are correct, however not just a combi all boilers will fire to the dictates of their own in built control thermostat, is the control thermostat on your boiler set to maximum? If not that could prevent the radiator(s) getting to full temperature.

If your pump is switched on by the end of travel switch(aux switch) in the head of your motorised valve, see Honeywell website for details of 'Y' or 'S' plan, it could be this switch that has gone faulty. I'm thinking you have a three way motorised valve as the problem is with both HW & CH

Has the plumber secured the pipework with pipe clips as it sounds like the pipes are moving when the boiler starts, which is when the pump will kick in.
