Ikea Cabinet doors

Hello, I have a bit of an error, I have an IKEA bathroom cabinet. I am having the bathroom re-vamped and ordered two new doors for all the cabinets. What I didn't realise was the IKEA hinges are smaller than the standard 35mm. So the holes are too big. Does anyone have any experience of converting 3...

Solid Roof on Small Conservatory

Hello! I have a small 3m x 3m conservatory at the back of my house. I want to replace the 10mm twin wall roof to make the space more usable. Is it still possible to replace the polycarbonate with OSB and felt, with 100mm rock wool and plasterboard. I seem to remember you could buy warm roof for exte...

Walk-in Bath Leaks From Waste?

Hello! My mother-in-law has a walk-in bath, on the first floor in hare house. It seems to be leaking from the waste. I had a plumber out last week, he changed the trap and tested it ok, without anyone in the bath. However when my mother-in-law uses the bath the waste leaks when the bath is drained. ...

I have a similar problem, a piece of 4x2 nailed to the rafters and resting on the pirlins. A friend of mine who is a retired builder, tells me I can remove this bit of 4x2, as it was only used in roof construction. However in the 80's I had my house reroofed and the roofers fitted 2 pieces of 4x2 an...
