mixer shower replacement

I need to replace my mixer shower, not an electric shower. Are all the water supply connections the same?
The existing shower is fitted on top of a wetwall panel and I dont want to change the wetwall panel if i can avoid it. hence the question

Radiator valve connections

I am fitting a new radiator, the valves are 15mm but the pipe work is either 8 or 10mm copper microbore. How do I connect the microbore to radiator valves? What type of reducer or insertion is needed? does it require any special olives? what is the best way to trim the microbore pipe? I think I only...
