I need some advice in buying good wood-burning stove, about the 10KW size. I know I should buy one with a good efficiency (70%) and upwards but there is a lot of choice on the market.

Wood burning stoves

Can anyone advise me to what size Wood Burning Stove I would need to heat a room, sized 17'x14'x9' with a radiator and a north facing double glazed window. I have a flueless gas fire in at the moment which just sucks the hot air up the chimney.

Is there a chart I can check to fit the correct size rad to suit the room size. I want to replace a long double rad(70") with a shorter double convector, room size 5mx4m.

how do you isolate hot water cylinder withimmersion heater.

I want to isolate and remove hot water cylinder from upstairs cupboard and re-route cold supply to Combi boiler. what is the best way to empty supply tank and isolate cylinder before removal.

Replacing jammed stopcok/gatevalve.

The stopcock in our house is a Gatevale type and it is jammed solid. What would it best to replace it with, another same type/size gate valve or a stop cock.
