Pressure relief pipe

I have recently had a new system fitted and the boiler moved from the kitchen to the airing cupboard. The condensate pipe and the pressure relief pipe run into a pump, the hose runs into the loft space and out into the gutter. BG have been out to service it so that we can have it on contract but say...

I have no idea if it needs one, the banging and clunking has only recently started happening when we had the cold spell. It does sound like the water is backing up. Take it the silencer would be a waste of money then, hpowever which tank is which in the loft?

Boiler makes a banging noise when finishing a cycle.

Hi, got a problem with the boiler making a banging noise when it finishes it cycle. BGas say it's the water heater on the way out but won't replace until it finally gives up the go. They suggested adding some silencer to the system to see if it helps. Have some Fernox Silencer but not sure which tan...

Toilet and sink not emptying

Help! My main toilet has recently starting filling up with water whenever I empty the sink. The sink is very slow to empty and so is the toilet whenever you flush it(or empty the sink). The bath has no problems emptying and the en-suite next door has no problem. What do you think could be the proble...

Kitchen Mixer Tap

My Mixer tap in the kitchen has very low pressure on the hot water side. It is now down to a small trickle. All the other hot water taps in the house are fine. Will it be anything to do with valve in the tap? If so how do I go about replacing it, would it be the same as replacing a normal pillar tap...

Flexible tap tails

Just bought a new monoblock basin tap which has come with flexible tap tails with 3/4" end (female). Currently the cold water comes off at a tee to the tap, then goes on to feed the WC, the hot pipe goes straight to the tap fitting(previously had a 2 hole basin). What specific fitting do I need...

Kitchen Tap

Hi all, trying to fit a new kitchen tap but failing at the first hurdle. I have shut off the cold feed under the sink, in the airing cupboard I have shut off the cold feed valve, the valve at the base of the HWSC and the hot water supply valve at the top of the HWSC. I was hoping that when I turned ...

Noisy water pump

The pump in the airing cupboard seems very noisy. It sounds like a "gritty" noise? It's impossible to sleep in the bedroom next to it as the sound vibrates through the wall. It is currently on setting number 2, I have tried turning it down to 1 but then the boiler makes a noise as though i...

Outside tap

I installed an outside tap about a year ago. One of those that self taps into an existing pipe (copper pipe). The tap has worked ok but doesn't any longer, not even the slightest drip. What could the problem be?

Integrated Washing Machine

Hi, thanks. Where would I find the inlet valve? Would this be at the washing machine end or where the hose connects to the water?

Integrated Washing Machine

Hi, I have an integrated washing machine which keeps filling up with water even when it is not on(usually happens over a period of 36 hrs before it needs emptying). Any ideas what the problem could be, does it sound like machine fault or something else?

Ok thanks, why is it that the hot water supply to the downstairs cloaks that doesn't have mixer taps is fine? This is where the mains water comes into the house.
