Hotpoint washing m/c bearing replacement

Hotpoint washing machine model WMA22.
I am trying to remove the bearings and seal from the outer drum/ casing without success. They take the shaft from the inner drum. Can anybody give any tips on the best method of removal.

Have you checked the manhole outside for a blocked drain. To clear this, you will need a set of drain rods. Be careful not to unscrew these when inserted in the drain or you will have a major problem extracting the components.
