Raising Fence Height Using Tensioned Straps

I need to raise fence height by 0.5 metre for climbing plants. I propose to fix one metre heavy duty straps on posts 9 feet apart and suspend 'netlon' or similar, threaded with wire ropes fixed to the straps
Do not know how to attach ropes to straps and produce the necessary tension
please advise

thanks WB - been doing some research - can you confirm :-
* Diall decorators PVA is OK (ex B&Q)
* Dilute 5 to 1
* Replaster before PVA is dry

Repairing Plaster around the Front Door Catch?

I have chipped out cracked plaster around the front door catch several times, but the problem keeps recurring. Is there a special product or process which can solve this problem, Please advise

Replace Shower Door With New Heavier Door - Will Stud Work be ok?

the three walls of my shower cubicle are only 3 inch stud walls. The replacement door, which has 6mm glass, has been delivered (awaiting installation) and the packaging quotes a net weight of 28 kgs. Will the stud walls support this weight , or should I insist on a different door with only 4mm glass...

sorry - I should have made it clearer - I have already tried both screwfix and tool station and the heads in both 13 and 20 mm length are much smaller than the old felt nails I am removing perhaps this a case of ''they don't make them like they used to'' does anyone know where I might lay on my hand...

Felt Nails With Extra Large Heads - Where Can I Get Them?

I am replacing the felt on my shed. The felt nails I am removing have heads which are larger than any replacements I have found. Can anyone advise where nails with extra large heads might be available - or are these no longer in production
The length would ideally be around 18 mm

What size(length and diameter) is best for 75mm arris rail
If nails - should they be 'straight' or 'serrated'
