you should use a seperate feed otherwise you'll get no hot water elsewhere when you use the shower!

you can buy 2way surrey flange that goes into the top of your cylinder giving you 2 feeds

your hot water tank should have a thermostat strapped to it. is that loose? or perhaps it's kaput (but then I would expect no hot water). or your 3 way valve is not working properly and the hot water is not getting diverted to the tank. feel the pipe going to the tank, does that get warm? the 3 way ...

or the valve is stuck

when the ballcock raises, it presses against the valve which shuts it off. if this is stuck, the toilet thinks the ball valve is up all the time, hence does not fill.

also it could just be you need a new flap valve (which is just a thin bit of plastic) - cheaper than a new unit and you can replace it without taking the cistern off (although that's not hard)

hi there tried fitting my waste to belfast (butler's) sink, but it leaks, so I must have got it wrong! I had threaded waste 2x spongy foam looking washers 1 nut for threaded waste I arranged like this (from top down) waste washer boss green sink boss green washer nut should I have used silicone inst...
