my advice to you would be to get a qualified electrician to sort out your problem. it's all well and good talking about different colours of cables but without standing there with some text equipment to trace cables etc it's hard.
Put your hand in your pocket and swallow some pride.

First of all you have to ask yourself do you weant to put up with the mess? The best way to tackle this would but to employ the services of a qualified electrician who would chase the cables into the wall, then either use metal capping or conduit for mechanical protection. Then you will require some...

Under the current wiring regualtions you can still use BS3036 rewirable fuses, as long as you have an RCD feeding your ground floor socket then you shouldn't have a problem. There appears to mixed feed bak here, and I would like to add the following: Yes the board shouldn't take long than an hour to...

I'm afraid your wrong!
You will have to have bonding to the radiator from the lights, pull cord and shaver point.......... you won't have to to do the sink or shower.
The regs are changing next year so keep and eye out for the changes.

OK, if your appliance can be located less than 2M away from a switched fused spur then YES they can be located behind the appliances, what your electrician has done isn't wrong or right, everyone has there own views on the regs, at the end of the day if you can find a reason in the regs why not to h...
