change of plan, I've just seen some cheap timber at B&Q: £2.44 38x63x2440mm or 2.5"x1.5" I figured I could make an L shape on each corner (using 8 of these as posts). I could use 6x65mm or 5x75mm screws to join 2 of these together. Hoping I could still use the same size timber for most...

advice on building materials for bunk bed and fixtures

I want to build a bunk bed. I'm not confident on the fixtures to be used. I'm thinking of using 4 posts @ 2x4inch (or 3x4) 4 side rails at the bottom also 2x4 or (1x6?) FIXINGS - for side rails to posts: 1x Hex Bolt Zinc Plated 10 x 120mm (or will I need 2 to connect each side rail to each post?) p....
