do you mean 3m x 4m.

that works out to about 12m2 or 12 square metres. if the pack contains .56m then you divide 12 by .56 which means you need 21.42 packs. Say 22. then add 10% to allow for waste, which means you need about 24 packs.

I worked in a carpet shop for years and we always made a plan for carpet. Basically you cut the carpet into 3 step strips and apply each section separately. Usually about 3'3" off of the carpet for an average roll of carpet that gives 4 steps in the width(measure it properly of course) and buy ...

I'd go for contrast between floors and walls aswell. Light walls dark carpet and curtains. or vice versa.

You really need the laminate on a level floor. How you do it is up to you. Screed or ply but it does need to be on a level floor.
