Hot Water Sometimes goes Cold off a Combi Boiler to Taps and Shower

Hi, I have an intermittent issue where the hot water to the taps and shower from our combi boiler sometimes decides to run cold. The pressure to the taps has always been low, as it takes ages to run a bath even when the water is coming through hot. Having investigated I think the problem only occurs...

Re: Thermostat Wiring for new Honeywell CM900 Replacing old Danfoss RMT230

Thanks Eric, so I remove the resistor , tape back the black neutral and the black wire on terminal 4 and then move the two reds across to the new thermostat? Does it matter which way round the two reds are on the new stat? Thanks again.

Re: Thermostat Wiring for new Honeywell CM900 Replacing old Danfoss RMT230

Today thermostats have batteries to work the electronics old types did not. The old thermostat had a problem in that the temperature between switching on and off was rather large around 2 degrees where today it is around 0.5 degrees. To get around this problem a heater was installed so when it swit...

Re: Thermostat Wiring for new Honeywell CM900 Replacing old Danfoss RMT230

Sorry I dont know why the photos have been rotated. From previous posts I think I know what needs to be done, apart from the fact that one of the two cables has both the red and black going into the white connector/resistor(?) from which a single red goes to the No. 1 Live terminal. Do I maintain th...

Thermostat Wiring for new Honeywell CM900 Replacing old Danfoss RMT230

I need to replace my house thermostat that controls the central heating boiler. Having replaced one before I thought no problem, but when I removed the plate I found it had two cables going into it rather than the expected single cable with a live and neutral. I'm planning on installing a Honeywell ...

Re: Is This Penetrating Damp in Corner of Utility Room or Something Else?

Many thanks for the reply. I've checked the guttering before and seems ok, the only thing I was wondering was where the UPVC sills join in that corner the mitre cut does not have any sealant in it and you can see a gap between the two sills where they join, see pic. Could this be where the water is ...

Is This Penetrating Damp in Corner of Utility Room or Something Else?

As per the photos we have found damp in the exterior wall corner of our utility room, behind a wall unit. Is this damp penetrating from the outside, or could it be the heat from the tumble drier etc which has gone up behind the wall unit and caused damp? There's no sign of any cracks or water entry ...
