Re: Bowed Garage Door Frame Leaving Gap Between Wall and Frame

After doing some research, seems there is a better way to straighten the bowed frame in case the coach screws will break or split the wood. Use another post of 3"x2", attach it to the garage frame and then insert 3 coach screws plus washers into the post and frame to wall and slowly force ...

I have an old garage wooden door, am sure its the original around 1950/60s. There is evidence section of the frame been replaced in the past as can see 45 degrees cuts. Re: Replacing Damaged Floorboards and Bridging Gap for Support

I did it by changing the screws. I used twin cut screws with screw driver fixing the timber nogging into the joist, solid as a rock. Laid the floorboard on top, screw it to the nogging and job done.

Re: No Water Apart From Before T Piece

Usually mains water from outside the house goes to kitchen and upstairs to loft. The kitchen will have mains water. In the loft there will be a water tank which feeds the bathroom and other taps including wash basins, bath shower mixer and toilets. It sounds to me that there is not water coming from...

Re: Fixing a Dripping Lever Basin Tap

I have the same problem since last night! have you fixed yours and how?
I think there is a cartridge inside the assembly of the lever and its either loose needs to be tightened or worn out to be replaced. To take lever out, you need alan key just behind the blue/red tag.

Replacing Panels With Taller Ones but Existing Posts too Short?

This is my first post here. 10 of my garden fence panels are tired and need replacement and now it's the best time. The existing panels are 6X4 but I want for privacy to install 6X5. The existing posts are only 15cm taller than the fences. My question is would it look silly if I install the 6X5s pan...
