Re: Is a Circular Saw enough?

I was confused because some sources said it's fine but it looks like there is indeed a consensus that it's a bad idea.

Thanks. Much appreciated

Is a Circular Saw enough?

Hello, I have a circular saw and need to do a smallish tiling job. I have never done this so look for advice on the web. Some people seem to say a circular saw is good enough as long as you have the right blades Others claim I should not use a circular saw and buy an angle grinder instead. Any opini...

Thanks, I'll give that a shot next time I get access to it (in a few months from now I'm afraid)

Thanks for the idea

Karcher K4 not functioning...

HI There, This Karcher worked last time I used it (a year or two?) Now, nothing happens when I press the trigger. The power is on and the Karcher is buzing. The water supply is fine. Nothing lights up on the handle when I press the trigger (I "think" one of the symbols should light up...) ...

what wood for garden gate frame?

Hello My wooden garden gate frame must be over 30 years old and is falling to bits. The gate itself is metallic and ok (might just need a bit of fresh paint...) It seems reasonably simple to redo the frame but I just wonder what type of wood to buy... for external use I am just looking at the frame ...

Did I buy the wrong radiator?

Having spent over 60 years avoiding plumbing... I thought the time had come to get my hands dirty so I decided to replace a small radiator that was so rusty I could not bleed it anymore. So I tried to figure its size and bought something that looked similar (600 mm high 700 mm wide). Installing it w...

One Sided Compriband Expanding Foam Compression Tape?

I have used compriband (Self Adhesive Expanding Foam Compression Tape) in the past for a "static" seal and that seemed fine.

Now, I would like a similar product but with only one-side self adhesive.

Does that exist?

Any example?

Many Thanks

Re: How Many Polisher Tools for Restoring Headlights?

With a bit more research on the headlight subject, it looks like I can get away with polish drill bits for about £10.

This solves my problem!
(I'll buy a proper tool for the wood sanding/polishing)

Cheers

How Many Polisher Tools for Restoring Headlights?

I would like to restore my motorbike headlights because I don't see much anymore... I understand I could use a "rotary polisher" to re-apply a UV protection coat at the end. My wife would like to restore some wooden furniture by sanding and polishing. Can a tool do both kind of jobs? Or do...

Brick Work Falling Apart on Top of Garage front

My (small) garage is about 60 years old, made of brick walls and asbestos roof (...) My immediate problem (I'll look at asbestos later) is that the brick work is absolutely falling apart on top of the wall above the main garage door, AND I have some water leakage along that wall. I wondered whether ...
