Baxi Boiler not starting after drain down.

I have a Baxi Solo 15E boiler. Today I drained down the system to fit two new TRV's. I have refilled the system but the boiler is locking out after attempting to start. I suspect that the boiler has an air lock.
Any suggestions on how to solve this appreciated.
Regards
Peter

Bedding Down Inspection Chamber Cover Frame

What would be the best way to bed down a plastic type frame for a manhole cover frame. The frame is rectangular with rebates to allow the cover to sit in. I did consider a good bed of mastic sealant, but am not sure if this would work. There are no fixings or brackets on the frame.

Cutting tiles around toilet pan

My daughters toilet pan is sited on top of floor tiles and I need to cut around the pan to allow a vinyl floor to be laid. Does have anyone have any ideas as to the best way to do this? I did think about drilling a series of holes around the pan and gently lift the tile using a small bolster chisel ...

Repointing DPC Jointring With Brown Mastic?

I need to repoint the DPC joint on my property. I am not particularly good at brickwork and have been considerering using brown mastic after removing the old & loose morter. I would be interested in any opinions about this idea.

Re: Header Tank Overflowing On Boiler Start Up In The Morning.

Hi Proptech, got it sorted. It was extreemly difficult. When I checked it was not the header tank that was overflowing but the cold water tank. The chipboard cover of the tank had started to de-laminate and had partially collapsed onto the ball float. with obvious results. Solution: made up a new co...

Header Tank Overflowing On Boiler Start Up In The Morning.

Hi, When my boiler first fires up in the early morning the header tank overflows. After a while it does stop but I cannot understand why. One clue may be that a few weeks ago I had to drain diwn the system to fit a new valve to a towel rail and this problem has only started since then. Is there a co...

Re: Salamander CT55 Connection Pump Installed to Boost Supply to Kitchen But Poor Supply to New En-Suite - How to Improve This?

Plumbbob, Thanks for your reply, do you happen to know exactly how the RCM works? I understood that the flow switch on the pump has to detect water movement to initiate the pump. If the basin tap upstairs is turned on how can this happen unless the RCM incorperates a check valve to hold pressure in ...

Salamander CT55 Connection Pump Installed to Boost Supply to Kitchen But Poor Supply to New En-Suite - How to Improve This?

I have Salamander CT55 single connection pump adjacent to downstairs situated hot water cylinder to boost hot water supply to kitchen which is 12 meters away. Works really well. A few years ago I had an en-suite installed up stairs with a basin and the hot water plumbed in from the pump. But I do no...
