Re: cello tape on window pane

Thanks! I see, I was told I would need a "razor blade" and thought of Gillette razor blades! Would something like the one on amazon be ok? (See the link, can't add picture). It's for the job in the picture. Thanks again for your help.

Hi, on my external window pane there some brown shiny cello (awful) tape. How can I remove it? It doesn't all come out just by pulling it. Thanks.

Bathtub pop-up waste not working

After 15 years since installing the bath, turning the handle doesn't open/close the pop-up waste anymore. Now I don't keep the pop-up plug in as I need a snap-off knife to take off. No idea if I wrongly adjusted the length of the plug screw or if it's the handle that is not working anymore. It would...

Re: kitchen tap

Hi cesca, If you search the web site of the company that fixes screws there are a number of similar taps for sale. If you have mains fed hot and cold the tap diameter will not matter, if however you are on tank fed hot with a low pressure you may find the flow too slow. In this case you will have t...

Re: kitchen tap

Hi cesca, I'm not sure what you are asking about. If it's the fact it's leaking - no it doesn't matter, put up with the limscale. If it's the size of the tap - yes it does matter if you are going to try to renovate it. Replacing the whole tap will be the least frustrating way of dealing with the pr...

kitchen tap

Hi
My kitchen tap is leaking (the tap itself, not underneath the sink). So far it is under control because there's a lot of limescale around it. It's around 50 mm diameter, but the specifications I see online do not mention it and in some cases it says 40 mm.
Does it matter?
Thanks

Remove top oven trim of OBI B10 Whirlpool oven

I need to clean the double glass of the oven without removing the door. In some models the top door trim can be removed by unscrewing the screws or through small clicks on the sides. My Whirlpool OBI B10 model no. 000 947 44 has neither. I don't know whether the top oven trim can be just pulled or ...

Hanging a picture and electrical wires possibly present

Hi I would like to hang a picture on the wall and near that area there used to be an intercome. It was removed and the wall replastered. I can't be 100% sure that the wires are not deep (or live...). Does this work as if I wanted to put a picture near a switch? Is there any way to easily check and d...

Grout Marker Pens for Filling Small Gaps in Bathroom Floor Tiles?

Hi
On my bathroom floor there are now two short gaps (1 cm) in the tiles grout. What would be the best way to refill them? Are Grout Marker Pens just to cover moldy and drappy areas or could they refill minor gaps?
Thanks

Roof Terrace Escape Door/Window

Hello I have a query about regulations for access to a roof terrace and emergency route. To access it I would need to build stairs, a landing and a ''door''. The problem is that there's not enough space for a 2 m. door. The height above the landing would be 2 m but the door/window only 1.4. I am att...
