Hi.
From your description it,s the shower valve that's the problem, rather than the boiler. Can you supply some more information on the valve, make, model, etc. A photo maybe.

Thanks for getting back. As for the lead pipe, it's a lot thicker than you may think, the size you mention is probably only 1/2 inch nominal bore. Also with the 15 mm copper, there will be a pressure loss for every metre length, and every bend/elbow. This can really add up. I just wonder if it might...

Thanks for the feedback. at least now you know what's going on. I think you really need to have the installation carefully assessed. Hi. Any pump fer this purpose has to be WRAS approved. the others you mention would not be up to the job. Another worth looking at would be the Stuart Turner Flow~mate. Having said that, the usual problem with low pressure is due to the pipework not being able to cope with the demands of today's req...

The thing is that with a combi, The water is 'throttled' down in order to achieve the temperature rise required. This being measured by flow rate, rather than pressure. So if the ground floor tap is providing that flow, then there is no more for the upstairs tap. The only time there is equal pressur...

If you mean that the downstairs tap is 'robbing' the upstairs one, then there's not a lot you can do about it.
The Junior 24 can only supply something like 8 or 9 litres/minute, the Junior 28 something like 10 to 11 litres I'm sure the engineer has checked this.

I can only suggest that you get a registered Gas Safe engineer to check it out. If you have some doubt as to the installation, there may be a safety concern.

How about running the system with all other radiators turned off. This may well dislodge any air or minor obstructions.
