Hello - I've never done anything more advanced than bleeding radiators before.
I would like to remove a radiator (building cabinet where it is) but keep the pipes/valves in place for eventual replacement on moving etc.
The house is seven years old, on a communal heat-exchange system, so I can't imagine it's a one-pipe C/H system - and I should be able to take away one radiator without disturbing the rest.
Is it as simple as closing the valves (in: thermostatic, set to 0, out: lockshield with little drainage bit, turn to close), drain radiator by opening air valve at top, and little drainage bit on 'out' valve, removing the radiator, capping the two valves?
If so, what am I looking for cap-wise? I've also read about valve clamps for the thermostat end?
