Shelves on plasterboard walls

by ewanandmarjy » Mon Aug 04, 2008 10:16 am

Two kitchen shelves came crashing down yesterday, and I need to get them back up (safely) before the mother-in-law arrives.

Help!

The plasterboard is about 2cm thick and there is a cavity which 9cm to the other wall, which is the living room and is also plasterboard

The shelves fell down as the screws fell out of the holes, the plasterboard seems a little damaged around the holes on a couple of them

so how should I best put the bracket fixings, back onto the walls?

I've been looking at hollow wall anchors, will these do the job?

thanks for your help

Ewan
