Hi there. I'm starting to box around some pipes in my flat on Thursday and wondered if I need to put plasterboard on top of the plywood? The boxing I removed was just 5.5mm plywood but one of the builders I know told me that I should also put plasterboard on top? Is that really necessary?

use plastic instead, its easier, and a better finish
