Shower Fitting: Unvented cylinder to guarantee pressures at the taps

by NicolaR » Mon Jun 25, 2007 5:38 pm

Hello!!

I live in a flat on the first floor and have economy 7 heating. I would like to install a shower over the bath. My existing hot water cylinder has a large hot water cylinder and a small cold one above. When filling a bath the hot water gets slower and slower, the cold water remains constant but not high pressure.
I have had a few plumber's ideas i.e. fitting a pump but have been told water pressure may not be sufficient; fitting unvented direct cylinder (e.g. ariston) but this is very expensive and will it solve the problem?
As I have had contradicting advice please could someone help me!!! :?

Thank you in advance, Nicola

Fitting unvented cylinder will be the only way to qurantee pressures at the taps and pressure for a good shower with plenty of flow, of course you will be saving money on not buying a shower pump with this system and can offset that against the unvented cylinder!!!!
