shower hose conundrum!!!

by laker » Wed Apr 01, 2009 5:32 pm

Hello there, I have had my bathroom re tiled and wanted to put on a new hose and shower head onto my old mixer shower, the problem is I have bought a standard sized shower hose from B and Q and the hose doesnt fit the male thread on the mixer! I asked the man at B and Q and he said that is the only size they do?! Is this an old old mixer shower and is there any where i can get a hose the right size or maybe a reducer or something like that? The shower thread is an inch in diameter.
Thanks in advance for any help

Something has gone wrong here I think. The hose size is standard, and has been pretty much forever. Certainly for the last 20 years.

Is a bit missing or is it designed for a fixed pipe for example?
