Does a medium pressure bath shower mixer ,mean it can use mains cold water with low pressure hot. thank you

Whether it does or not it won't work properly with unbalanced pressures between hot and cold.

You either need a separate cold feed from the CW storage tank so that hot and cold are at the same pressure OR fit a pressure reducing valve in the existing cold mains feed.

Alternatively you may have a combi boiler in which case both hot and cold will be at mains pressure anyway.
