Shower pressure question for 2 showers All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

At the moment we have two showers, one electric and one from the boiler, pressure as you would expect, what do I need to have a really good pressure shower? I presume it means some sort of storage system separate from anything else directly from the mains?

Hi a9blue,
Presumably you have a combi boiler and this should give a reasonable pressure at the shower if your mains has a good pressure. It then becomes difficult to suggest which measures you take to improve your showers - larger combi, cold water accumulator, mains pump, more powerful electric shower, larger mains feed into your home ……..
It will probably need more than one thing to be changed and it’s going to be expensive.

The combi (24kw) and the electric shower (10.8) are both new and as far as I can recall the water pressure is at least average, the shower upstairs is the one I want to have run independent of the combi with some sort of booster which I presume would require a storage system? Is there an alternative to the old hot water tank and booster pump combo, something more modern and compact perhaps?
