Shower Pump Disaster After Fitting Stuart and Turner Standard 2 Bar Pump

by Lawrence » Mon Aug 13, 2018 5:27 pm

What a disaster. Just fitted a new pump (Stuart and Turner standard 2 bar) to an aqualisa concealed valve shower system.

As soon as the pump kicked in I had water gushing out from the back of the airing cupboard.

I managed to expose the back board on which the valve has been mounted in the cavity and it looks like a plastic cap has been blown off. The valve appears to have 4 entry points - left, right, top and bottom. It is the bottom cap that has blown off. Having looked at it I am amazed it stayed on even under gravity fed pressure.

So, do I have now have any options other than ripping out the shower room in order to replace the valve?

thanks
