shower pump & washing machine

by oddone » Tue Mar 13, 2007 1:47 pm

Hi,

I have recently moved into a property that has a downstairs bathroom with a shower pump that feeds a shower, toilet and sink, and the pipe that feeds the shower also continues through the wall into the kitchen and feeds the washing machine.

When the washing machine is on the pump gets a bit 'erratic' constantly pumping off, then on, then off etc...

I guess what i really want to know is if this is a dodgy setup? Will it cause problems for the pump eventually? or the washing machine?

thanks
Oliver
