hello. i have a friend with a really old shower. he has a combi boiler. his electric shower has no pressure cuming out of it. would buying a better and newer shower help the pressure. ie a mira sport 9.5kw or similar. cheers

Electric showers are never very good and to fit a bigger one depends on the wiring many can't be up-rated without renewing all the cable feeding them. A thermostatic shower controller direct from the combi boiler gives a very good shower only down side is anyone running hot water will affect the shower. If taps around the house are old turn on type the valve will normally keep up and just reduce the amount of water from shower but lever taps work too quick and can give cool and extra hot water as shower can't regulate fast enough. Every so often Lidi do some very cheap thermostat shower taps otherwise quite expensive but I love mine nearly as good as power shower.
