Silk Emulsion Mistake Help!

by newbie22 » Sat Dec 29, 2012 8:36 pm

I have just painted with one coat, newly skimmed plaster board (When | say new its been drying for three weeks) with a weak mix of silk emulsion to seal it (50-50 water paint). Now I have been told I should have used matt emulsion. Will this make any difference? and how can I 'save the situation if I have made a mistake? Many thanks.

newbie22,
I doubt it will make any difference since you watered the paint down.
Finely sand the surface to break any glaze before you apply any more paint.
end
