Slates- spanish chinese? Information, help and tips on many areas of roofing including trusses, tiling, venting, insulation etc....

I have to replace and extend an old Welsh slate roof. I am considering using either spanish or chinese slate. Does anybody have experience of either? Which is the better material? Who is the best priced stockist?
