I moved into my house a year ago and since then a smell - like cat pee - comes and goes in my kitchen. It improved after my plumber replaced the waste under the kitchen sink, but it's recently come back, worse than ever. It's so strong, you notice it as soon as you walk into the house or come down in the morning. The smell existed before I installed the washing machine last September so it can't be the cause. The smell worsens when it's been raining heavily or very hot. It's not rotting food, rotting animal or herbs giving off string scents. Any ideas?
