soakaways

by victoriadavies » Sun Nov 09, 2008 9:30 am

Hello

We have built a new house and on our planning aplication we ticked that surface/fould would be disposed of via the main drains. Our ground is clay and we have tree preservation orders on the two trees on our land, so have to be really careful not to do any damage to them. Building control done prelocation tests and said soakaways were not viable as no water drained away. Now welsh water will not let us conect as they have a policy of no new connections for surface water, so we are left with a mortgage and loans on a house we cannot live in becuase we have no connection for our foul or surface water. Welsh water say we need to try inflitration blanket but again building control say no. HELP!!!!
