We have a solar system installed that efficiently heats the water during the day but the heat is lost overnight as the secondary coil from the boiler is conducting the heat away due to reverse gravity conduction. The feed from the boiler is not pumped. Believe we need a motorised valve in the feed but am not comfortable in what position and whether a thermostat on the tank would also be useful thing to install
