Spitting and stopping shower pump. All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

My shower pump for several years has stopped and spat every time it is used.
It pumps through a Trident non thermostatic mixer. The cold tank is about 60cm above the shower head.
When on cold only it is OK. When on hot only, it is also OK but when set at or around the correct temperature it goes into the stopping and spitting mode.
Any ideas?

The pump has not been installed correctly, have a look at the pump instructions and this should give you a good idea where the plumbing is wrong.
